Tempering our earlier post on Faile's latest body of work, comes this follow up. Now this we think, is excellent. A second album with a heavy dose of classic Faile but with still enough changes to keep it fresh and exciting. A hundred years of cultural reference points, including fine art, native Americana, advertising, childhood stories, comic culture, quilt making and folk art all condescend into one (many) interchangeable image. An illustration of Post Modernism using traditional craft based techniques that would be equally at home in The National Museum of Folk Art as it would be in MoMA. A winner.
